As the idea blossomed we grew our contact list from 10 people for whom we had contact information to 50 and then 100 and now approaching 200. Conference calls with dozens of voices from 30 years ago or more rekindled the excitement and sense of special community that we fondly remembered in the modest and spartan pneeme'ah (dorms) of the 1970s.

Pictures and letters and other artifacts were digitized and posted. Over the weeks and months since the idea of a sde boker reunion was mentioned this web site and the associated digital archive have become the focus of an exciting effort to hold a reunion sometime in 2005.

Recently (January 2004) a few bogrim gathered together to visit and reminisce. Plans were launched to try and reach out to the 300 or so people whose lives were forever changed as a result of their experience at Sde Boker.
