Who says we Jews are stubborn and don’t learn anything? It took
Moses 40 years to get out of the wilderness of Zin… fast forward…
this time it only took us about 30 years to return to the wilderness of
Zin. Progress… No? Yes, it’s actually going to happen! A 30ish
year reunion of the Nativ Angli of Midrashet Sde Boker. Plan now to join
us. And it’s going to be amazing! Music, songs, tiyulim, choco and
lachmaneot, friends coming from all over the world back to the midrasha
and wadi zin. |

Why June 24-26? We know it’s not perfect. We’ll try using web streaming technology to let folks participate who are unable to join us face to face. Where? Now really, is that a serious question? |

| Much
of the formal reunion will happen at the Midrasha. However, check out the
program guide for favorite suggestons for the reunion which will include
tiyulim options for Ein Gedi and the Arava at the front and at the end of
the reunion. Remote Attendees We’re also going to use modern technology (no aseemonim on a thread required) to beam in folks who may be unable to join us via video conferencing. Family or no family? Yes to both! For those wishing/having family involved, the program is inclusive and we’ll have choco and lachmaneot for significant others and offspring (if they’re good). Tiyulim will be inclusive with plenty of time for bogrim reminiscences with out boring the family too much. See the program guide for more details. How much? What – you thought it would be free? Really! O.K. there are lots of cost details to work out. Teams of our experts are working on charter flights, charter buses, hotels, motels, and tents. Costs will vary depending on whether you participate in any of the pre or post reunion activities. We are also working on the Sde Boker legacy program for those who wish to participate. In short, how much would you be willing to pay? No, actually, we’ll be back to you with program costs soon. How soon? Don’t ask. Getting the word out To our best estimates, 300 persons attended Sde Boker between 1971 and 1979 for 3 weeks to 3 years. We have contact info for over half (165 persons) and counting. Many thanks go out to our scour the earth committee who have found Sde Bokerians on 6 continents and more than 50 cities. We also have several video projects, oral histories, photography projects, magazines, newspaper, and even expressions of interest from documentary film makers and television producers. |
